The Port Townsend Wooden Boat Festival is North America's largest wooden boat festival, showcasing dozens of beautifully preserved and newly constructed vessels celebrating traditional and contemporary maritime craftsmanship. The event combines expert-led workshops on marine systems, boat tours, live music performances, and hands-on woodworking activities that engage visitors of all skill levels. Wooden boat enthusiasts, maritime heritage lovers, craftspeople, and families will discover learning opportunities and inspiration throughout the festival grounds. Historic vessels including the 100-year-old Corsair II and many other iconic wooden boats are on display and available for tours. The woodworking tent offers training ranging from beginner projects to advanced techniques for experienced craftspeople. Live bands perform on the main stage throughout the weekend, while free children's activities and woodworking demonstrations run concurrently across the festival grounds. Children twelve and under attend free with a paying adult, making the festival accessible for multi-generational family groups.

Fly into Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA), about 80 miles south, then drive 2–2.5 hours north via I-5 and WA-20. Alternatively, take a ferry from Seattle (Bremerton or Edmonds) to Kingstown, then drive to Port Townsend—a scenic 2–3 hour route.
